Kawagakure no Sato

Kawagakure no Sato, or the Hidden River Village, is located in the River Country. The River country lies between two of the main shinobi powers, the Fire and Wind countries. To the north the country is bordered by the Rain Country. The country is marked by mountains, forests and rivers. The Hidden Village itself is located in a place that was once known as Katabami Kinzan no Sato, or the Gold Mine Village. Katabami Kinzan no Yama, or the Gold Mine Mountain, is in the center of the Hidden Village. This village has made a lot of money from the gold in this mountain and has become rather wealthy. The amount of gold found began diminishing. The village began utilizing shinobi around 15 years after Uzumaki Naruto visited the Village. This village is one of the cheaper villages for hiring shinobi, although many of it's shinobi are inexperienced. Even the most advanced are of the chuunin rank, with the exception of their leader.
